Kasargod»Trikkanad & Pandyan Kallu

A famous temple on the sea shore near the Bekal fort, dedicated to Lord Siva Trikkanad and Pandyan Kallu is also known as Dhakshina Kashi. Pandyan Kallu, a rock standing in the sea about 2 km from Trikkannad is an ideal place for adventurous swimmers. Legend has it that a ship of one of the Pandya Kings who attacked the Trikkannad temple was converted into a rock by Lord Siva. Palakkunnu Bhagavathi Kshethram, which is one km north of Trikkannad is famous for its annual Bharani festival, which attracts thousands.
