<p>The raw banana after removing the jacket is kept in a vessel with water. It is then sliced into thin wafers. The wafers are then deep fried in a huge wok of vegetable oil. A pinch of turmeric and salt to taste is added when the wafers are almost done. Allow to cool before storing away. Take care not to let it cool for too long or it will lose its crispiness</p>
